The mission of Rock Steady Boxing is to empower people with Parkinson's to fight back
Rock Steady Boxing Peninsula is an affiliate of Rock Steady Boxing (RSB). Rock Steady Boxing is a first-of-its kind, Indianapolis-based non-profit gym founded in 2006 to provide an effective form of physical exercise to people who are living with Parkinson's.
Though it may seem surprising, this non-contact boxing-inspired fitness routine is a dramatically improving the ability of people with Parkinson's to live independent lives.
RSB was founded in 2006 by former Marion County (Indiana) prosecutor Scott C. Newman, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at age 40.

TESTIMONIALS
I'm hooked! These reviews should be on trip advisor because if you're in a battle with Parkinson's, then you must make the trip to Rock Steady Peninsula in San Mateo! Freddy and Chelsea have crafted an incredible array of exercises and drills to help improve your gait, balance, agility and overall well being. It is inspirational to see first hand the courage and strength that each person shows every class. It gives me the drive to earn my place alongside them and be "Rock Steady, Ready"!

I was 70 years old when I was directed by my sister to contact RSB. It has been the very best program I have heard of or seen. The work-out contains segments from different fields all applied to the special needs of Parkinson patients. In the short time I have been working with Coach SILVA I have found improvement in Hand Eye Coordination, balance, flexibility speed and endurance.
Rock Steady Ready! READY!!!
